Are you interested in meeting and greeting visitors to the Mary Rose? Are you a great team player that loves working with people? Do you have a love for heritage and the enthusiasm to learn about the history of the Mary Rose and its artefacts? If so, then this volunteering role could be for you! Work alongside our friendly Guest Relations Team at the entrance to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, you will meet and greet visitors and engage with them in making the most of their visit, including signposting to what is on that day. You will also have the opportunity to assist with manning the information desk. Our Mary Rose Volunteers had the following to say:- ‘Being a volunteer at the Mary Rose is a privilege to be able to share knowledge of the Mary Rose to a large variety of visitors from all over the World. It is interesting, fun and tremendously satisfying to be part of the team.’ As part of our training scheme you will undergo an initial induction and full support and ongoing training will also be provided. For more information If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with us, are aged over the age of 18 and available from 9:30 – 16:30 during the Summer and 9:30 – 16:00 in the Winter, (although shorter shifts are available), for at least one day each week, we would like to hear from you.
