Tea Server Vintage Tea Room - Care Home Cosham

In residential care homes it is often harder to find volunteers to help with residents with dementia or severe memory loss. Some of these residents don't receive any visitors and loneliness is a major problem.

To help tackle this we are going to transport our residents back to their younger days by running a Vintage Tea Room and Sweet Shop.  We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to run the Tea Room which involves making drinks, selling tea, coffee, cakes and sweets to our residents and visitors.

Could you make a difference and make a positive contribution to your community?

A DBS check and 2 references are required as all our residents are considered to be vulnerable & this is a legal requirement as residential homes are registered providers with CQC.  There is no charge for the DBS check.

A good team worker. The ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. An understanding of dementia would be an advantage but don't worry as training will be provided.
